Molé Mama's love of cooking

Welcome to Molé Mama! A place where food is love and love is food. I'm Diana Silva and my love affair with cooking started when I was just nine years old and my mother Rose asked me to help her make flour tortillas. My big job was to mix the masa for her. She expertly poured water, flour, salt and a little baking powder in the bowl and taught me how to mix it together. I eagerly put my small hands in the bowl and tried to follow my mother's patient instructions. I loved the way the sticky dough felt in my little fingers. I was so very proud and excited to help my mama.

I didn't understand the road I was embarking on that afternoon and the joy I'd experience cooking with my mother for the next 20 years. What a treasure of memories we shared.

My beautiful mother, Rose

She taught me how to make over a 100 of her Mexican family recipes, and it's time they were shared for others to enjoy. She died a few years ago, and I'm sure she'd be thrilled that her recipes will live on and bring joy to your lives.

In addition to my mother’s amazing recipes, you’ll also be able to experience other remarkable chefs from around the world as they share their family recipes, stories and love of food.
