I am a San Diego-based author and founder of Molé Mama, where food, family, and memory come together through storytelling.
I learned to cook from my mother, who taught me the recipes of my abuelita, a woman I never met but came to know through the dishes she left behind. In our kitchen, cooking is how we remember, honor, and stay connected across generations.
Through Molé Mama, I share these family recipes along with the stories and ancestral wisdom that live on in our kitchen. I am also the author of Abuelita’s Magical Molcajete and have appeared on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games and Season 5 of Next Level Chef on FOX.

Her Sweet Mama
Molé Mama's culinary training began when she was nine years old on the day her mama asked her to help make flour tortillas. Her mama expertly poured water, flour, salt, and a little baking powder in the bowl, and her daughter's heart raced with excitement as she eagerly put her small hands in the bowl and tried to follow her mama's patient instructions on how to mix it. She loved the way the sticky dough felt on her little fingers. She was so very proud and excited to help my mama make her legendary fluffy, soft, flavorful tortillas.
Her master chef and beautiful mama taught Molé Mama to make over a 100 of her Mexican family recipes over several decades of cooking together! Molé Mama loves sharing her treasured family recipes with you and hopes that they will bring you joy and become family favorites.
